Annotation: Since joining the Daramalan Performing Arts team (Term 1, 2021) I have enjoyed a collegial and inspiring relationship with my Head of Department, Joe Woodward. My working relationship with Joe began with shared theatrical professional appointments and; was strengthened through a mentor/mentee relationship in my final teaching placement (2018) where I was under his guide for seven weeks, as a member of the Daramalan community. It was here that I impressed as a graduate teacher.

Joe has attended many of my classes as both an invited guest and in a welcomed drop in capacity where he has commented on the inspired and controlled learning that he has witnessed, occurring under my teaching. He has observed multiple classes which include two year 7 drama cohorts, two year 8 cohorts (drama and music) and year nine and year 10 drama. We moderate one another's work work frequently. In lieu of one report Joe's document is a combined and holistic view of my role as a performing arts teaching under his leadership. Joe's letter of support from his multiple observations of my work speaks to a multitude of standards- which he himself addresses in the letter of support. Joe's letter of support speaks to a multitude of standards which include the entire standard sets of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) and standards 1.2, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 2.3. Through my variety of classes in my first year as part of the Daramalan community I have worked closely with Joe and this statement reflects numerous standards that he has witnessed my compliance with through attending no less than 10 of my classess across multiple year levels. I have insightful, inspired and professional working relationships with both my Daramalan colleagues and; more broadly, through my associations with external colleagues. I am a current committee member of ACTDA (Australian Capital Territory Drama Association) and a working performer and director.

My relationship with Lucy Cronan began through a productive relationship when I was on placement at Daramalan. This email outlines the impact I have had on our Performing Arts Team at Daramalan College. It touches on my moderation and reporting precision as well as my collegiality in moderating senior students, whom I do not currently teach (5.3 & 6.3).  It details my teaching strategies as a strength when moving forward with a new arts curriculum. It highlights my strength in digital learning and ICT capabilities regarding my class content (2.6). This artefact explains how my content (both digital and face to face, has organised my content into coherent, well-sequenced learning and teaching programs (2.2). It expressly mentions my digital strategies and successes (2.6).

Reflection: The below letter touches on several aspects of my role in this team over the course of my first year as a teacher within the Daramalan context. It identifies the collegial nature of my work, the regard with which I am held in my team and the additional effort that I go to in my profession. I willingly participate in additional areas so that I am able to get to know my colleagues and community deeply. Over the course of a twenty five year professional career in the arts, I have build a strong understanding of various elements of theatre practices and share these learnings, with passion. I have an excellent working relationship with my team and it ensures we have a proactive approach to our shared students, content and working space.
